As a global lead in International education and
culture exchange, the United States has provided a welcome environment for
international students from all over the world. This article raises a concern
about the uncertain political and economic climate that may make the United
States less likely to offer international students a safe and stable place to
learn and grow, especially after the inauguration of Donald Trump.
TESOL International Association, English USA, and
UCIEP, these English language organizations strongly affirm their great support
for helping international students and Intensive English programs (IEPs). The
writer of article is urging for the U.S. government to continue creating
welcome environment for international students and facilitate access to
high-quality IEPs.
This article argues the issue about the current
political and economic factors that may influence education for international
students who come to the U.S. Educators and teachers, especially in the global
education and English Language fields, are likely to pay much more attention to
this article.
International students have become an integral
financial part of many U.S. higher education institutions. The economic
