Hello and welcome to our blog. You will post the final drafts of your timed writings, book reviews, and research essays on this blog. You will then "construct and compose academic responses" to your classmates' posts. That will allow you to enter into an academic conversation and help reinforce and expand your academic vocabulary and reading fluency. You will respond to at least one post for each assignment. Your response should be 50 to 100 words and show that you've read the post and thoroughly understand it. You can agree, disagree, partially agree or disagree, and/or analyze the claims made by the author of the post. Your grade will be determined by both the quality and quantity of your responses.
The purpose of this website is to provide an intellectual forum to discuss the writing in this class.

ReplyDeleteI'm Cynthia. I attend this class because I want to practice timed writing and improve writing skill. For writing, I hope I can write essays with less grammar mistakes. For reading, I hope I can read faster than before even though I still have many words that I do not know meaning. Actually, I'm not sure which level of the thinking and research skills need for postgraduate. That's all. Thank you！

More importantly, I wanted to let you know that I was VERY impressed by the way you answered the timed writing question (i.e. qualities of a good son or daughter and how they've changed over time). I'm proud of you. Also, I think the number of errors is falling. Great job and thank you for posting on our blog.
